Price on Request
When the original ring was brought in to us to see, we were asked if we were able to repair it. After much discussion, we suggested rather than a repair that she remodels the ring to ensure that it was able to be worn for as many more years as possible.
Seeing what we could use from the damaged existing ring, we came up with an idea, which developed into an initial design. As we were not sure if it was going to work, we did a 3D print to see if our idea would work as well as look pretty. Once we established the plan, we did a rendering for the client to make sure she was happy before going ahead and manufacturing.
We carefully deconstructed the original ring, salvaging the top with the enamel and old cut diamonds, and made a white gold frame and claws so that the new top could be set with the utmost care, and no soldering needed. This was the most secure way of attaching the top to the new ring without the risk of damaging the old enamel or diamonds with heat whilst soldering.
We are immensely proud of the finished ring. Showcasing a vintage flair with a modern design. Now this delicate ring can be worn for many more years to come. This ring was manufactured in 18k white and yellow gold and featured 35 x “8 cut” round faceted cut diamonds.
We want to tell your story. Therefore, most items are available in a range of metal purities which may include Platinum, Palladium, Silver, 18K Gold, 14K Gold and 9K Gold. Gold colour options include Rose, Yellow and White Gold. Other metal options may also be available, so please make contact with one of our consultants to discuss your preferences here.
We’ve never accepted the status quo when it comes to what is possible in design and what is not. We will always push the boundaries in order to provide our clients with what they envision, albeit by combining rare metals or fusing new concepts. This has been what has separated from others since we started in 1968.
As a result we have built a portfolio of designs that speaks of innovation and bravery in design. And yes, while receiving the highest number of awards of any jeweller in South Africa is nice, this is not where we lay our pride. Our pride lies in the fact that we are able to keep our clients happy because in the end, they are our ultimate inspiration.
