ENTRIES ARE CLOSED.
Achieve the greatest weighted ascent in meters – as measured by Strava – on your road, gravel or mountain bike between June 2019 and November 2019.
See ‘Winning Formula’ below for details on weighted ascent.
Open to all non-professional riders over 18 years of age.
International riders welcome.
Virtual rides are excluded.
Ebikes are not allowed.
Weighted ascent takes into account the relative effort over the challenge period compared to the same period one year earlier. Simply, it is your achievement X by your effort.
Ascent in meters X (Personal Bests (June – November 2019) / Personal Bests (June – November 2018)) = Weighted Ascent
12 000 meters x (15 PBs / 25PBs) = 7200 meters weighted ascent.
12 000 meters (25 PBs / 15 PBs) = 20 000 meters weighted ascent.
To ensure fairness across the board, we have chosen to limited the maximum multiplier to 2.
Virtual rides are excluded from this challenge.
|First Place||R30 000|
|Second Place||R15 000|
