The colour of a diamond refers to the presence or absence of colour within the stone, with colourless being the most valuable. It is graded on a scale from D (completely colourless) to Z (light yellow/brown). Colourless diamonds (D-F) are extremely rare and extremely valuable. G-J is seen as Near Colourless and are therefore our most popular.

Clarity is a diamond measures the presence of internal inclusions and external blemishes. These inclusions and blemishes are compared to birthmarks because it represents unique characteristics formed during a diamond’s creation deep within the earth’s crust over million of years.
The clarity scale ranges from Flawless, Internally Flawless, Very Very Slight Included, Very Slight Included, Slightly Included, and Included. Expert examination of clarity is paramount, as it can have a significant impact on a diamond’s overall quality.

Carat refers to the metric value by which a diamond is weighed. The higher the carat weight, the higher the price of a diamond, since larger diamonds are less accessible. It is important to note that two diamonds, although equal in carat weight, can differ in price and value depending on their cut, colour and clarity assessment.

There is a wide variety of interesting shapes diamonds can be bought in. Note that only Round Brilliant Cut’s will have a cut rating due to the shape of the diamond.
